$120 Million Mega Millions Lottery Ticket Sold In Riverside
LOS ANGELES (CBS) — One ticket with all six numbers in Tuesday's multi-state Mega Millions draw was sold at a Riverside 7-Eleven.
The winner must now decide whether to accept the estimated cash value of $92.1 million or receive 26 annual payments of approximately $4.6 million each before taxes.
Two tickets with five numbers, but missing the Mega number, were sold in California and each are worth $220,648, a California Lottery official announced. They were sold at Five Points Petro in Huntington Beach and Cole's Market in Pleasanton.
Four other tickets -- one each sold in Indiana, Massachusetts, New York and Virginia -- had five numbers, but didn't have the Mega number and are each worth $250,000, a California Lottery official announced.
California law requires major payoffs of lottery games to be paid on a pari-mutuel basis.
The numbers drawn were 5, 11, 20, 33, 36 and the Mega number was 11.
The drawing was the 13th since the last time a ticket with all six numbers was sold.
The odds of matching all five numbers and the Mega number is 1 in 175,711,536, according to the Mega Millions website. The overall chance of winning a prize is 1 in 40.
The Mega Millions game is played in 42 states, the District of Columbia and the U.S. Virgin Islands.
The jackpot for Friday's draw will be $12 million.
