$10K Reward Offered For Fugitive Charged With Planting SoCal Pipe Bombs
RIVERSIDE (CBSLA.com) — The FBI posted a $10,000 reward today for information leading to the arrest of a fugitive accused of placing pipe bombs in Palm Springs in 2012.
Investigators are seeking the public's help in their search for Edward Allen Costa.
An indictment alleges the 48-year-old illegally possessed six pipe bombs that were found in various locations in Palm Springs from May 8 through May 12 of last year. None of the bombs ignited.
KNX1070's Tom Reopelle reports Costa walked away from a halfway house in Rubidoux after pleading guilty to being a felon in possession of a .357 Magnum.
Reward Offered For Fugitive Charged With Planting Pipe Bombs
A federal arrest warrant was issued for the Desert Hot Springs man in the United States District Court, Central District of California on September 11, 2013 following his escape from custody.
Costa is described as a white male with brown hair and green eyes, between five feet nine inches and five feet 11 inches tall and weighing approximately 200 pounds.
Investigators say he should be considered armed and dangerous with violent tendencies.
