1 Killed, 1 Injured In Lancaster House Fire
LANCASTER (CBS) — A woman was killed in a house fire in Lancaster Thursday night, authorities said Friday.
Her husband, who is reportedly waiting for an organ transplant, was hospitalized with burn injuries after the fire on 12th Street near Newgrove Street, Los Angeles County Fire Department dispatch supervisor Clyde Taylor said.
The fire was reported at 10:22 p.m. and firefighters extinguished the blaze by 10:37 p.m., he said.
A coroner's investigator was called to the scene Friday morning.
CBS 2's Kristine Lazar reported that the couple had recently lost their jobs.
