3 Firefighters Injured In 3-Alarm Blaze In City Of Industry
CITY OF INDUSTRY (CBSLA.com) — Firefighters responded to a three-alarm fire Tuesday at an abandoned fruit packing plant in the City of Industry.
The fire was first reported at 10:19 a.m. at 733 South 9th Avenue, the Los Angeles County Fire Department said.
Crews were fighting the fire in a defensive mode after the roof collapsed as it was too dangerous to enter, officials said.
Two firefighters were transported after suffering heat-related injuries, and a third was transported with unknown injuries.
The cause of the fire, as well as damage estimates, have not been determined.
