1 Dead, 2 Injured In 2 Separate Shootings In Pomona
POMONA (CBSLA.com) — One person was killed and two others were wounded in two separate shootings in Pomona.
Thirty-two-year-old Charles Patrick Cooper, of Pomona, was fatally shot and a 61-year-old man whose name was withheld was injured in the first shooting, which occurred at 11:54 p.m. Tuesday in the 1300 block of San Bernardino Avenue, according to Pomona police.
The injured person was airlifted to a local hospital.
Twenty-five-year-old Covan Brad, of Pomona, was hurt roughly two hours later in a second shooting near the popular Manna doughnut shop in Pomona, investigators say.
That incident was reported just after 2 a.m. near East Holt Avenue and Paloma Drive.
It's unknown if the incidents are related. Pomona police had not yet confirmed if arrests had been made in the cases at press time.
The investigation is ongoing.
