The incident occurred around 3:15 p.m. near the intersection of Alameda Street and El Segundo Boulevard, L.A. County sheriff's Deputy Guillermina Saldana said.

The driver was pronounced dead at the scene and a 19-year-old passenger was taken to a hospital, where he is in stable condition, Rosson said.  The third man was uninjured.
