Child, 4, Dies In Compton House Fire
COMPTON (CBS) — Officials say a 4-year-old child was killed in a house fire in Compton Thursday evening.
The fire broke out at 835 E. Lennon Street, according to Inspector Mark Savage of the Los Angeles County Fire Department.
Lennon Street is near Stanford Avenue.
One child (sex unknown) had been transported to Gardena Memorial. That child was declared dead at the hospital.
Earlier reports said another child was missing in the house and also deceased, but those reports have turned out to be erroneous.
