If you haven't upgraded to a 4K smart TV, it's time. Amazon's Prime Big Deal Days sale is here, and it includes must-see deals on 50-inch, 65-inch and 75-inch smart screens for your home theater, den, office or bedroom. One of the best October Prime Day deals is on Samsung's "The Frame" smart TV.
Samsung's "The Frame" is the most popular smart TV among our readers. Amazon has just slashed the price of the 55-inch version from $1,498 down to just $998. You can save a quick $500, upgrade your wall decor and enjoy watching your favorite shows and movies on this device.
What we love about "The Frame" is that its bezel looks like a picture frame, and when you're not watching TV, the set displays high-resolution works of art or your own photos, so you'll never be looking at a giant black rectangle on your wall. Based on the size of your wall space, "The Frame" is available in a 32-, 43-, 50-, 55-, 65-, 75- and 80-inch models. Most of these sizes are on sale now at Amazon.

Samsung 'The Frame' TV with bezel included: $548 and up
Amazon is offering huge October Prime Day deals on Samsung's "The Frame," our No. 1 bestselling TV of 2023. Right now, you can get the television bundled with your choice of bezel starting at $548 for the 32-inch model.
Powered by the Tizen OS that gives you easy access to your favorite content, Samsung's "The Frame" offers some unique functionality; it's designed to be hung on a wall. Thanks to its bezel that looks like a picture frame, when this TV is hung on a wall in your home, it resembles a piece of artwork. It automatically displays either famous works of art or your favorite photos. In other words, there's never just an unattractive black rectangle hanging on your wall.
To make artwork displayed on the screen look more realistic, Samsung's "The Frame" uses a non-glare matte finish. This also allows the TV shows or movies you're watching to look detailed with life-like colors. Thanks to "The Frame's" thin (just one-inch thick) design, it truly looks like a hanging picture frame on any wall -– yet it's able to use its QLED display to showcase 4K resolution video with HDR support and Quantum Dot technology that can showcase more than one billion colors.
What we like about Samsung's "The Frame" smart TV:
- When displaying artwork, the TV's auto-rotating wall mount allows the screen to be rotated 90 degrees so it can showcase artwork in portrait mode when appropriate.
- Display your favorite digital photos or video clips on "The Frame" by transferring the content to the TV (from a computer or mobile device) using a USB flash drive.
- The matte finish display is virtually glare-free and showcases accurate colors.
If you're a Disney fan, in conjunction with Disney's 100th anniversary celebration, Samsung developed a limited edition Disney100 version of The Frame", which originally sold out within days, but has just come back in stock.

The Amazon Fire Omni series TV is available in multiple sizes. Prices vary. Note that these are Prime member exclusive deals, so you will need to be an Amazon Prime member to get the best savings on the Amazon Fire Omni series TV.
To dramatically enhance sound quality, we recommend connecting an optional sound bar, like the new Amazon Fire TV Soundbar, which supports DTS:X and Dolby Audio. It's available for $120. In our recent soundbar coverage, we also recommend the Roku Streambar Pro as an affordable, yet extremely high-quality soundbar. It too is currently on sale at Amazon for $140 (that's 21% off).
Right now, the 50-inch version of this TV is on sale for 60% off, so you can purchase it for just $150. However, you can save big on these screen sizes too:

To enhance the picture quality for supported programming, you get HDR10 and HLG support. Dolby Audio and Dolby Digital Plus are supported as well, so with the proper speakers (sold separately), you can get true surround sound.
Instead of a 120Hz refresh rate, you'll need to settle for just 60Hz. High-action content (such as video games or live sports) won't look as fluid on this TVs as it will on a television with a higher refresh rate, but for watching TV shows and most movies, a 60Hz refresh rate is plenty adequate.

- Use the voice remote to access Amazon Alexa and control the TV and other smart gear in your home with voice commands.
- The Fire TV app allows you to use your smartphone as a remote control for the TV.

The TV also uses Quantum Dot QLED technology to generate pure, rich and highly accurate colors, which showcasing incredible detailed. TCL 65-Inch Class S4 4K LED smart TV: $380 (25% off)
Our in-house TV experts have been rather impressed by the latest offerings from TCL when it comes to value for the money and the overall quality of the company's 4K smart TVs. If you're shopping for a 65-inch TV, you'll be hard pressed to find a better value from a TV than what you get from the TCL 65-inch Class S4 4K LED TV. At the moment, the 2023 edition of this TV is priced below $400 on Amazon.
This TV supports Dolby Vision, HDR10 and HLG. It also offers a 120Hz refresh rate. Plus, the internal speakers support Dolby Atmos.

- You get a 4K resolution, 65-inch screen with a 60Hz refresh rate for less than $400.
- The TV offers an Auto Game Mode that reconfigures the TV automatically when you launch a game. This helps to reduce input lag and offer the smoothest gaming experience possible.
- The bezel on this TV is incredible thin.
- The TV supports both the Alexa and Siri digital assistants.
TCL 75-inch Q6 QLED 4K smart TV: $680 (15% off)
Only during Amazon's Prime Day October 2023 event would you find a 75-inch 4K smart TV on sale for less than $700. However, that's exactly what you get from this 2023 edition of the TCL Q6 QLED 4K television set. At 75-inches, it's truly massive. The screen offers a 60Hz refresh rate and has an extremely thin bezel. In fact, TCL refers to this TV as having a "bezel-less design."
The QLED screen uses Quantum dot technology, along with Dolby Vision, HDR10+, HDR10 and HLG to create a detailed picture with accurate colors. While we would have liked for this TV to boast a 120Hz refresh rate, especially if you'll be using it for gaming or watching live sports, at this very low price point, the TV represents a really good value. T
To enhance motion clarity, the Q6 offers what TCL refers to as "Motion Rate 120" to compensate for the lack of a 120Hz refresh rate. Before purchasing it, however, make sure you have a room that's large enough to accommodate this massive screen.
What we like about the TCL 75-inch Q6 QLED smart TV:
- You get a truly massive, 75-inch TV at a very affordable price.
- The TV offers 4K resolution with a 60Hz refresh rate.
- You get support for Dolby Vision, HDR10+, HDR10 and HLG.
Sony Bravia 55-inch 4K Ultra HD X90K: $798 (39% off)
This 2022 edition of the Sony 55-inch X90K is a scaled down version of the Sony X90L featured earlier in this roundup. Hence, it's being sold at a lower price. But seldom will you find a Sony Bravia TV on sale for less than $800, so if you're interested in this 55-inch model, don't wait too long. Take advantage of the 39% off savings while it's being offered.
This TV runs using the GoogleTV OS. Like all recent versions of the Sony Bravia TVs, this one offers exclusive features that cater to Sony Playstation PS5 gamers. Insignia 32-Inch Class F20 Series: $80
If you're looking for a really low-cost 32-inch TV, check out this Insignia 32-inch Class F20 smart TV. It's a great option for a child's bedroom or any small space. The 2022 edition of this TV runs using the FireTV OS from Amazon and comes with a voice remote.
However, this is a 720p resolution LED TV with a 60Hz refresh rate, so while it'll do a decent job displaying content from broadcast TV channels, like ABC, CBS or NBC (that still offer primarily 1080p programing), most streaming content that's broadcast in native 4K resolution won't look anywhere neat as good as it would on a 1080p or 4K screen. This TV relies on older technology, which is why is costs less than $80.
Why we like the Insignia 32-inch Class F30 Series smart TV:
- This is a very low cost TV option for a child's bedroom or small room.
- It runs using the Amazon FireTV OS, so streaming content from all popular services is easy, but the image quality won't compare to a 1080p or 4K resolution TV.
When is Amazon Big Deal Days?
The Amazon Big Deal Days sales event (also known as October Prime Day) kicks off at midnight PT (3:00 a.m. ET) on Tuesday, Oct. 10 and runs through Wednesday, Oct. 11, 2023.
What else is on sale during Amazon Big Deal Days?
During the Amazon Big Deal Days sales event, you'll also find big discounts across all of Amazon's departments, including home, tech, kitchen, fitness and so much more. This is the perfect time to kick off (and potentially even finish) your holiday shopping, without having to deal with Black Friday crowds and having the gifts you want to purchase being sold out. You'll find deals on luggage for your holiday travels, too.
Do you need to be a prime member to shop Prime Big Deal Days deals?
While some of the best Amazon Prime Big Deal Days offers are Prime-exclusive or invite-only, there will also be tons of deals that are open to all shoppers. So even if you don't have an Amazon Prime membership, there will be deals available to you.
If you want to shop the best deals, though, you'll want to sign up for a 30-day free trial of Amazon Prime. Prime memberships costs $14.99 per month or $139 per year, and include access to Amazon Prime Video (Thursday Night Football) and a number of other great perks.
What other stores are holding competing early Black Friday sales?
Savvy shoppers know that any of the Amazon Prime Day events offer the perfect time to find tens of thousands of popular products on sale from Amazon, including some at their lowest price of the year. However, many other popular online and retail merchants, such as Walmart, Target, Best Buy and even your favorite department stores, such as Macy's, all tend to kick off sales either at the same time or around the same dates as Amazon Big Deal Days.
- Best Buy's 48-Hour Flash Sale is happening on Oct. 10 and Oct. 11, the same days as Amazon's Prime Big Deal Days.
- Walmart's Holiday Kickoff sale will run from Oct. 9 through Oct. 12.
Do products on sale during Amazon Big Deal Days sell out?
You bet they do -- and sometimes things sell out within hours. If you see something on sale that you want to get your hands on during the Amazon Big Deal Days sale, order it right away. Often, quantities are limited. Once a product is sold out at the sale price, Amazon won't always restock right away and when it does restock, the sale price likely won't be offered.
Can products bought from Amazon during Amazon Big Deal Days be returned?
Unless it specifically states in the product description or near the "add to cart" and "buy now" buttons that the product being offered on sale is a final sale or not returnable, Amazon's regular return policy for that product will be honored.
On the right side of a product description on Amazon, just below the "buy now" button (and where it says "ships from and sold by"), look for the heading that says "returns."
If the text says, "eligible for return, refund or replacement within 30 days of receipt," that's the return policy that will be honored. However, you may be responsible for paying return shipping to Amazon, unless you drop off the product as a Whole Foods or Kohl's, which accepts some Amazon returns.
