Amazon Prime Day deals: Last day to save big on Roku, Fire TV and other streaming sticks

Amazon Prime Day is still on -- and so are the Prime Day deals. Prices have dropped site-wide on everything from space-saving kitchen gadgets to the Ring video doorbell (available for just $45) to athleisure and activewear.
If you're shopping for a streaming device, such as a Fire TV stick or a Roku system, you're in luck: Those prices have dropped as well. (Apple TV 4K is available for $70 off right now -- just not at Amazon.)
All these big deals and smaller deals (check out these Prime Day favorites under $20) are expected to deliver a big payday for Amazon. In October 2020, the company raked in an estimated $10.4 billion during the Prime Day festivities.

For the uninitiated, streaming devices are a popular way to organize media and streaming subscriptions such as Netflix and Hulu, along with free, ad-supported services such as Pluto TV. It's a good way to watch content on an older, non-smart TV without paying for an extra cable box or satellite TV receiver. Some cable companies even offer apps that allow customers to stream live TV from their chosen devices without switching to a separate input. (Note: CBS Essentials and Pluto TV are both subsidiaries of ViacomCBS.)
Here are some of the top Prime Day deals on Roku and Fire TV devices.
Roku Streaming Stick+
This 4K Roku streaming stick comes with a voice remote and has a long-range wireless receiver so you can stream your favorite shows, even in rooms far from your Wi-Fi router. Like most Roku devices, this streaming stick comes with access to more than 150 free live TV channels through the Roku Channel, with hundreds more free channels available through Pluto TV.
The Roku Strearming Stick+ is currently marked down from $50 to $39 during Amazon Prime Day.
Roku Express 4K+ streaming device
The Roku Express 4K+ streaming media box comes with all the same channels as the streaming stick, but doesn't have the long-range wireless receiver (or the convenience of a stick). It's marked down $10 for Prime Day, to $30.
Roku Ultra LT 4K streaming device (refurbished)
This refurbished 4K Roku streaming device comes with a 6-foot HDMI cable and wired headphones. The headphones plug into the side of the remote, so you can crank up the volume without disturbing anyone in your home. During Prime Day, Amazon has knocked more than 20% off the list price.
Fire TV Stick 4K streaming device
Amazon's in-house streaming platform is Fire TV. This 4K device, originally released in 2018, comes with an Alexa voice remote and Dolby Atmos Audio. Normally priced at $50, you can currently get your own 4K Fire TV Stick for $25 -- just half price.
Fire TV Stick Lite
The Fire TV Stick Lite is Amazon's (even more) budget-friendly 1080p streaming device. If you have a 1080p television, this could be a great option for you. With a 1080p TV, the only real compromise you make by opting for the Lite over the 4K version is that the Lite remote doesn't have volume controls, so you'll need to keep your TV remote handy.
The Fire TV Stick Lite is just $18 for Amazon Prime Day (reduced from $30) -- quite the deal when you consider all it does.
Fire TV Cube
The Fire TV Cube is the largest and most expensive of Amazon's streaming devices. So, what do you get for the extra cash? The Cube has a super-fast Hexa-core processor, an Ethernet port and hands-free control of compatible TVs and cable receivers. During the Prime Day festivities, Amazon will be selling these tricked-out devices for $80.
NVIDIA Shield Android TV streaming device
This Android TV streaming device has Dolby Vision HDR and AI-powered 4K upscaling — that means the picture quality will be tack sharp and oh-so colorful. The Shield also has an Ethernet port, so you can hardwire directly into your home internet without relying on Wi-Fi. During the Prime Day promotion, you can score one of these devices for $25 off the list price.
TiVo Stream 4K
The TiVo Stream flattens the learning curve for those who are less tech savvy and allows users to browse their favorite shows and movies from the comfort of one intuitive TiVo home page. Normally $40, you can pick one up for $29 during Amazon Prime Day.
Walmart's competing deal: Apple TV 4K 32GB
Here's one great streaming TV deal that you can't get at Amazon: Right now, during its competing Deals for Days sales event, Walmart has reduced its price on the Apple TV 4K 32GB to just $99, a $70 price cut.
