Protest Planned At Dallas Home Of Former OU Fraternity Member

DALLAS (CBS 11 NEWS) -  The group, Next Generation Action Network, has decided to use the home of Parker Rice as the location for a public demonstration against racism.

Parker Rice is the Dallas freshman at University of Oklahoma seen leading that fraternity chant calling for the lynching of blacks, using the N-word, and vying to keep them out of Sigma Alpha Epsilon.

Rice, along with Levi Pettit, a Highland Park grad, both were expelled from OU.  Their fraternity house shut down.

"We want to make a bold statement  The statement that he made was bold, the song that he made was bold.  In that, we need to be bold in our efforts," said Dominique Alexander from the Next Generation Action Network.

Both of the young men have issued statements with apologies.

Meanwhile, a spokesperson for the Pettit family issued a statement saying Levi will not speak about the controversy.  "We are not accepting any invitations to be interviewed," he said.
