DALLAS (CBSDFW.COM) - The 49th greatest moment in Dallas Cowboys history isn't a single play, but a single mindset that was shared by a pair of Hall of Fame players.
While the two plays happened 10 years apart, the similar efforts not only define their Hall of Fame careers, they demonstrate a desire to succeed.
During his 14-year career, Randy White earned the nickname 'The Manster' because he was half man and half monster. And in 1984, 'The Manster' demonstrated why he struck fear in the hearts of opposing offenses.
At 6 feet 4 inches tall and 255 pounds, the defensive tackle ran 50 yards downfield to tackle Philadelphia Eagles receiver Scott Fitzkee, preventing a touchdown. That effort helped the Cowboys beat the rival Eagles by a score of 23-17.

Ten years later, Larry Allen did the same thing. He was 6 feet 3 inches tall, weighed 325 pounds, and could bench 700 pounds. But Allen was not only strong, he was fast too. During his rookie season, Allen chased down New Orleans Saints linebacker Darion Conner after a Troy Aikman interception, preventing a touchdown. The Cowboys went on to win by a score of 24-16.
