Lab Tests Show Blood On Shirt In Bevers Case Came From Family Pet

MIDLOTHIAN (CBSDFW.COM) - A bloody shirt dropped off at a dry cleaner by Missy Bevers' father-in-law has led to a dead end for authorities.
Investigators say the shirt tested positive for animal blood, which corroborates Randy Bevers story that the family dog got into a fight with another family member's dog.
In a report released today from the UNT Health Science Center, the Laboratory says, "a presumptive test for the presence of blood was positive," and that "a confirmatory test for the presence of human blood was negative."
In April, a search warrant released by police says the father-in-law of slain fitness instructor Missy Bevers dropped off "shirts that appear to have blood stains on them" at The Dry Clean Super Center of Midlothian.
Terri "Missy" Bevers, 45, was found dead inside the Creekside Church in Midlothian on the morning of April 18. Bevers was scheduled to hold a bootcamp at the church that morning. Her body was discovered by one of the fitness class participants. It was later determined that she died from a head wound.
