May is National Hamburger Month so we went to the source for award winning burgers to check out a monster burger challenge.  Kenny's Burger Joint is known for their award winning wood grilled burgers.

"We were named by Yelp as one of the places to try before you die.  We were the only one in Dallas and one of three or four in Texas" said co-owner of Kenny's Burger Joint, Kenny Bowers.

The regular Kenny's burger is a full plate, but they have gotten a lot of attention for a monster burger challenge called the El Jefe Grande.

"I really want to do something cool, something Texas.  We are gonna call it the El Jefe Grande which means The Big Boss" Kenny added.

Eat the El Jefe Grande in an hour and it's free!  So what is between the two giant pieces of Texas toast?

"We've got a three pound burger, we've got cheese fries, queso, chili, onions, lettuce, tomatoes, pickles and bacon.  Trust me, if I could squeeze something else in there I would" Kenny joked.

About 200 folks have attempted to finish the El Jefe Grande burger, but only four or five have finished the challenge.
