In 'N' Out Burger's First Dallas Location Opens Thursday
DALLAS (CBS 11 NEWS) - The first "In 'N' Out Burger" restaurant in Dallas could open early tomorrow. Executives say if there are people waiting at the new location on Central Expressway between Lovers Lane and Caruth, they will open before 10:30am.
"If you want a burger for breakfast and there's enough people waiting, we'll definitely open before 10:30 and probably closer to nine tomorrow" says In 'N' Out Burger's Carl VanFleet.
VanFleet says the company has hired five off-duty Dallas Police officers to handle traffic flow.
Last month the California-based chain opened its first two North Texas restaurants in Allen and Frisco and customers were willing to wait hours for their burgers and fries. Today the In 'N' Out in Allen had about a half-hour wait during the noon hour.
Executives say for the Dallas opening they don't expect the long lines that formed at the Allen and Frisco restaurants, but they're prepared for the turnout. Dallas police officials say they'll monitor the traffic situation.
