Girl Booted From Prom For Gown Deemed "Inappropriate"

MUSKEGON, MI (CBSDFW.COM) — How much skin is too much skin for high school prom?

One high school seniors' special night was cut short -- all because of what she was wearing.

Mireya Briceno of Muskegon High School claims school officials told her to leave because her full length gown violated dress code. Though vintage in nature and style, the blue and white polka dot dress was slated as "inappropriate."

Briceno says she was kicked out of the school dance because too much of her torso was showing -- even though backless dresses were listed as acceptable. School officials say students were made aware of dress code rules prior to prom.
