Former Giant Amani Toomer: Cowboys Are 'Stable', Will Win NFC East

DALLAS (105.3 THE FAN) -- Former New York Giants receiver Amani Toomer has a number of reasons to hate the Dallas Cowboys. But on Wednesday morning, Toomer picked the Cowboys to win the NFC East.

"I think they have a stable organization, a lot of talent, and they've been underperforming," said Toomer on New School with Shan & RJ.

Toomer spent his entire 13-year career with the rival Giants, winning Super Bowl XLII in 2007. The Michigan graduate retired a Giant in 2008, but doesn't think the team is consistent enough to win.

"You never know what you're going to get with them for a consistent year," said Toomer. "They usually have a second-half slump."

Toomer believes the Redskins will take a step back in quarterback Robert Griffin III's sophomore season. The Philadelphia Eagles, who will be led by first-year coach Chip Kelly, still do not having a clear-cut quarterback in Toomer's mind.

Add it all up and the Cowboys should be the favorites, according to Toomer.

"If you're looking at the NFC East as a whole, you have got to say the Cowboys are one of the more stable teams in the league."
