Blue Bell Receives $500K Grant; Adds Cherry Vanilla Flavor

NORTH TEXAS (CBSDFW.COM) - Blue Bell ice cream has received $500,000 from the state to enhance employee training and skills.
The grant will facillitate extended training in food safety and bacteria prevention.
The justice department is still investigating the popular ice cream company for the way it handled listeria contamination last year.
Monday's announcement came as the company unveiled its newest flavor: cherry vanilla.
