As I continue my search for the best BBQ in Texas, I kept hearing about BIG D Barbeque but could never find them in well...BIG D!
"Big D stands for my granddads name, Big Daddy. When we developed the sauce, my cousin and I, we were trying to get it out on the market and we wanted to name it after my granddad." said Jordy Jordon, owner of Big D Barbeque in Mansfield.
They started out just making great barbeque sauce and the restaurant was just a natural progression. Big D Barbeque is known for fantastic brisket, ribs, chicken and more...but it's the service that puts them over the top.
"I think it's the culture that we build to where everybody that walks in the door we treat as family, as if they are walking into our house" Jordy added.
Bid D Barbeque is expanding their horizons and opening a new Texas craft brewery and beer garden in 2017 called Cowtown Brewery in Fort Worth.
"When Jordy and I finally met we almost immediately started talking about working on opening Cowtown" said Shawn Kidwell, Brewmaster for Cowtown Brewery.
