In 1956 the I Love Lucy show on CBS was the number one Television show and in Dallas a new cafe opened the doors.
Sixty years later we still love Lucy and the iconic eating establishment known as Norma's Cafe.
In 1986 the current owner bought Norma's and has stayed true to the spirit and recipes that made it such a hit all these years.
"We serve the home-style food that I grew up with, chicken fried steak, vegetables, homemade desserts that we do right here" said Ed Murph, owner of Norma's Cafe.
You'll find traditional style breakfast served all day long in the fun 50's atmosphere that will make you look around for The Duke of Earl to walk through the doors.
"We have pancakes that have been described as the size of hubcaps, they're not quite that big, but they are pretty large" Ed added.
I will recommend the "New Ol' Number 7" breakfast with two biscuits smothered in gravy, 3 scrambled eggs, hash browns and melted cheese topped with sausage, jalapenos and tomatoes. Trust me on this one!
