12 Units Damaged In Fire At Mesquite Apartment Complex

MESQUITE (CBSDFW.COM) - No one was hurt, but some apartment residents lost their homes as 12 units suffered major damage in a two-alarm fire Friday afternoon.
It happened at the Pecan Ridge Apartments at 3200 North Galloway.
Heavy flames and smoke were visible and portions of the roof collapsed as firefighters began to take action, according to Capt. Kelly Turner.
Turner says firefighters are having a bit of trouble extinguishing the fire because of strong winds out there.
It's unclear how many people are affected, but the Red Cross has been called out.
