Police say he told them he started the attack Dec. 5 after seeing a man turn into a demon.
The suspect -- a muscular man in his 30s or 40s -- remains at large.
Police said the 50-year-old victim was stabbed in the face and body with a knife in the afternoon of Aug. 26.
"Nobody knew it was going to happen," said one victim. "We all felt safe."
Police say the suspect was very forthcoming with investigators, telling them he drove the victim to Waterford with intentions of murder.
