A 64-year-old man and an Oakland County Sheriff's deputy were minorly injured in a house fire in the 200 block of Sandalwood Drive around 3 a.m. Wednesday morning.

At this time arson investigators are trying to determine the cause of the fire.
The home's owner reported there were a couple hundred pounds of fireworks inside.
The two officers heard moans for help and crawled through the heavy smoke to drag the resident to safety.
The fire occurred at a two-story warehouse building at Riopelle and Division streets in Detroit.
It's believed the man drove himself to a nearby Planet Fitness to take a shower in the locker room after the fire.
