Ypsilanti Restaurant Taking Patrons Back To 1934

Don't be surprised if you experience significant traffic tie-ups on Michigan Avenue in downtown Ypsilanti Monday.

Thousands of people are expected to pack the area, heading to Haab's Restaurant, which will be selling meals at 1934 prices.

For nearly 30 years now, the restaurant has turned back the clock to celebrate its opening in 1934. Back then, Haab's was charging 50 cents for its chicken basket. Monday, that meal sells for just under $12.00. Normally, the restaurant will serve about 200 meals on a Monday. This Monday, they expect to serve 2,000.
