Year-long Construction Project Coming To I-96
DETROIT (WWJ) - M-DOT is ready to get to work on another big construction project in metro Detroit -- this one, covering parts of I-96.
$15.5 million is being spent to repair five bridges between Milford and Kent Lake roads. The project is expected to run for an entire year -- causing lane closures between Lyon and Milford Townships. Several ramps will also be closed during construction.
Crews will leave three lanes of traffic open during peak travel times and a traffic shift will be in place with a movable concrete barrier.
