Wrong-Way Driver Could Face Murder Charges
DETROIT (WWJ) - Detroit Police could be pushing for additional charges in the aftermath of the sudden death of one of their own in a wrong-way accident in Greektown.
WWJ's Ron Dewey reports that the weekend death of Officer Charles Armour stunned friends and colleagues, who thought he was recovering from injuries not thought to be life-threatening.
Officer Armour was on foot patrol in Greektown on Saturday, June 4, when he allegedly was struck by a car driven by 30-year-old Saddam Hussein Mohsin of Buffalo, New York. Officials say Armour was going to have the car moved from blocking traffic when he was struck.
Godbee says he will seek additional charges, possibly including murder against Mohsin.
