World Cup Fans Can Score US Soccer Fatheads By Kickoff

DETROIT (CBS Detroit) - Fathead is helping U.S. Soccer fans show their support for the men's national team in a big way by offering free shipping on "Big Heads" and decals before the Tuesday in the Round of 16 in the World Cup.
The Detroit-based graphics company is seeing strong sales of U.S. Soccer items leading up to, and during, the World Cup in Brazil.
Many of these items were on display Thursday as nearly 3,000 fans filled Cadillac Square, and neighboring streets, for a World Cup viewing party. Attendees waived giant cutouts of the head of captain Clint Dempsey and goalie Tim Howard along with the U.S. Soccer crest.
Supporters of the red, white and blue can get these cutouts, along with large wall graphics of Clint Dempsey on the attack and Tim Howard diving for a save, through the Fathead website. Orders placed by 11:59:59 p.m. Eastern Sunday, June 29, can get their items by Tuesday with free next day air with the code USSOCCER.
"You can trick out your entire area where you are watching U.S. Soccer," said Brian Stevenson, vice president-public relations for Fathead.
Fathead, LLC, has seen continued growth since the company was formed in 2006. What started as a company with a handful of licenses, and has since grown to 600 licenses with major sporting leagues and entertainment companies.
As the World Cup has captivated the nation, fans have been clamoring for U.S. Soccer items. Stevenson said that currently U.S. Soccer is the best-selling category after Disney's "Frozen" for Fathead, and since the start of the 2014 World Cup, Fathead US Soccer and Major League Soccer items have doubled in sales compared to last year.
"We are definitely seeing a continued upswing and interest in U.S, Soccer in relation to the Fathead Soccer category," Stevenson added.
Fans looking for other U.S. Soccer items including shirts and jerseys can find limited selection at stores including Dick's Sporting Goods and George's Soccer.
