Worker Dies After Falling Into Manhole
FENTON TWP. (AP) - Authorities say one construction worker has died and another was hospitalized after being overcome by methane gas and falling through a manhole in the Flint area.
The Flint Journal reports one of the men was pronounced dead at an area hospital after falling about 20 feet Wednesday afternoon in Genesee County's Fenton Township.
Sheriff Robert Pickell says a second man who fell after being overcome while trying to help was in stable condition with a fractured skull.
Names of the men weren't immediately released.
