PONTIAC (WWJ) - A West Bloomfield woman who fired shots at a police officer has taken a plea deal. The 37-year old Lashawn Hicks faces up 10 50 years in prison after pleading no contest to assault with intent to murder.

The incident happened in February 2009 when officer Brad Lackie responded to a disturbance call on Littletell Street. When the officer went to help Hicks, she started shooting.

According to police, three shots just missed Lackie. Hicks was then arrested following a struggle during which she bit the officer.
