Woman Pleads Guilty For Role In Graphic Vandalism Of Football Field
MONROE (AP) - A woman who pleaded guilty for participating in the vandalism of a southeastern Michigan high school football field has agreed to pay about $32,000 in restitution.
The Monroe News reports Saturday that the woman from the Monroe County community of Lambertville pleaded guilty to a felony charge of malicious destruction of property. By making the plea and agreeing to repay costs, prosecutors dropped a charge of contributing to the delinquency of a minor.
Authorities say the woman, her 16-year-old daughter and a 17-year-old were involved in the vandalism. Grass killer was used to leave the shape of a penis spanning the length of the Bedford Community Stadium field on Aug. 30.
The daughter has pleaded guilty in juvenile court and the boy pleaded guilty to malicious destruction of turf.
