Woman Injured In 2-Dog Attack
A woman is recovering Monday after being seriously injured in a pit- bull attack.
Westland Police tell WWJ the two dogs "came out of nowhere" when they lunged at the woman while she was walking between Michigan Ave. and Merriman Rd. Sunday night.
The woman called out for help and some people rushed to her aid.
Police said that when they arrived on the scene, they had to shoot one of those out of control pit-bulls, but the other one escaped.
Authorities captured that dog Monday morning and it is currently in the custody of the Michigan Humane Society. The dog and undergo observation over the next ten days.
Meantime, the woman is being treated for her injures at a local hopital. Police said she will likely be able to go home soon.
