Woman Carjacked At Gas Station On Detroit's West Side
DETROIT (WWJ) - Detroit police are hoping the public can help them identify a man connected to a carjacking crime on the city's west side.
The incident occurred around 7:15 p.m. on July 18 at the Valero gas station in the 14500 block of McNichols at Hubbell Street, just west of the Lodge Freeway.
According to police, a 31-year-old woman was leaving the gas station when the suspect allegedly approached her, produced a weapon and demanded her keys.
The suspect then escaped in the woman's vehicle, a silver 2005 Dodge Magnum.
The suspect is described as black male, 18- to 20-years-old, 5-foot 3-inches, 120 lbs with a dark complexion, brown eyes and mustache. He was last seen wearing a red and black baseball cap, a black tee-shirt and black jeans.
