Woman Apparently Jumps To Death From I-94 Overpass
NEW HAVEN (WWJ) - A 54-year-old New Haven woman is dead after police say it appears she jumped off the New Haven Road overpass onto I-94.
Chesterfield police officers responded to a 911 late Tuesday night from a driver saying he struck a pedestrian on I-94, just west of New Haven Road. The Roseville man said two other vehicles may have also hit the woman, but they continued westbound on I-94 without stopping.
Police said "evidence and circumstances" at the scene led them to believe that the woman may have jumped to her death.
The investigation is ongoing. The woman's name has not been released.
