Wolverine Fans Enjoy Pre-Game Hype For Sugar Bowl In New Orleans
DETROIT (WWJ) - The University of Michigan takes on Virginia Tech Tuesday night in the Sugar Bowl in New Orleans and U of M athletic director David Brandon is there.
"I know our fans are having a great time down here. We've got a huge number of Michigan faithful. We had a great pep rally yesterday," said Brandon. "They closed down an entire city block and allowed us to have kind of a street party and it was a great pep rally."
Brandon tells WWJ playing in a BCS bowl game in Coach Brady Hoke's first season is great for the kids, fans, & recruiting.
"There's been a lot of activities ... the people of New Orleans have been incredibly hospitable and we're excited to be here and we can't wait to play a football game," said Brandon.
You can hear the Sugar Bowl right here on WWJ Tuesday night, beginning at 6:30 p.m..
