You keep waiting for them to crank it up, to inhale the danger and then get rid of it. But with a tight series just begging to be ended, the Red Wings couldn't put it away, couldn't keep their poise and couldn't keep the puck.
Bad penalties and poor special teams produced a disaster. And the more you watched the game, the more you've watched this series, the more you realize two things. Maybe the Wings can't crank it up for long stretches, for a full dominant game. Even more troubling: Maybe the determined Coyotes simply won't let them.
