Winter Weather Advisory: 4-6 Inches Of Snow Coming Tuesday
DETROIT (WWJ) - Just after most of it melted, more snow in on the way to metro Detroit.
The National Weather Service has issued a Winter Weather Advisory, in effect for all of Southeast Michigan beginning at 3 a.m. Tuesday through 12 a.m. Wednesday.
Lenawee, Livingston, Macomb, Monroe, Oakland, St. Clair, Washtenaw and Wayne counties are all included — with about 4 to 6 inches of snow accumulation expected.
The NWS says light snow will develop after 3 a.m. Tuesday and will persist through the morning, so be prepared for slick roads and poor visibility.
Snowfall intensity will increase at around noon Tuesday and peak during the afternoon hours.
Meantime, those who were fooled by the warmish weekend should be prepared for more ups and downs. NWS Meteorologist Joe Clark says El Nino is causing heavy fluctuations in the temperatures this year.
He believes big swings week-to-week will continue into the summer months.
