Wings Storm To Victory In Desert
Jimmy Howard just pointed across the room to where Nick Lidstrom was holding court with a group of reporters.
"It starts with the captain, that guy right there," Howard said Tuesday after the Red Wings finally exterminated the Coyotes in Game 7, 6-1. "He stays so calm. And if your leaders stay calm and when the game is on the line they really go after it, it allows everybody else to raise their game and everything just falls into place."
Lidstrom's performance Tuesday completely belies the fact he turns 40 Wednesday.
