Windsor Warehouse Fire Seen From Detroit
WINDSOR (WWJ) - A big fire in Windsor lighting up the Detroit skyline for several hours Tuesday morning.
The fire at the Party Warehouse on Walker Road, about a half mile from the Detroit River, started shortly after 1am Tuesday. WWJ's Lance Howard was over the scene in the LaFontaine Cadillac Buick GMC Chopper and said the warehouse fire was so intense, the road between Ottawa and Wyandotte had to be closed as crews work to clear the blaze.
The Windsor Star reports firefighters are using at least three aerial trucks to battle the massive warehouse blaze that has sent flames shooting through the roof and a thick plume of black smoke billowing into the sky.
No injuries have been reported.
