'Windseeker' New Ride At Cedar Point
DETROIT (WWJ) - There's nothing quite like a roller coaster! And, around here, think of Cedar Point and you can't help but think of roller coasters. The popular amusement park opens on Saturday.
But, there's always something new at Cedar Point - speaking live on WWJ Newsradio 950 spokesperson Robin Innis says there's a brand new ride opening this year.
"Windseeker which is a brand new towering swing-ride, 301 feet tall, you are going to get a great view of Cedar Point and the Lake Erie beach, says Innis.
Innis says to make room for Windseeker on the beach the ride "Ocean Motion" was moved up front, across from the midway carousel.
Cedar Point spokesperson Robin Innis says there are plenty of new attractions this year, including new food zones.
Later in the season, Innis says they'll premiere the new ride "Wave Swinger."
"Opening day we'll be able to introduce Pinks, which is a brand new gourmet restaurant. It's been a Hollywood tradition since 1939, seeing dozens of Hollywood stars stopping in at Pinks," says Innis.
