Will The Real Tom Gores Please Stand Up?
DETROIT (97.1 THE TICKET) - It appears there may be an impostor posing as an NBA owner roaming the social media airwaves.
Sports Illustrated website Extra Mustard recently posted a story asking whether Detroit Pistons owner, billionaire Tom Gores was posting on Reddit about his team. Saying, "of course there's nothing wrong with this, if indeed it was Tom Gores who was operating the "tom_gores" account.
It's just incredibly bizarre. Why the heck would the billionaire owner post stories about himself as well as a dunk video?"
According to the Pistons organization the two are not the same. Owner Tom Gores is not posting about the team on that social network.
The Pistons are looking into the matter.
