Who's Trying To Get Into Kid Rock's Place? Sheriff's Office Seeking Suspect On Crutches
OAKLAND COUNTY (CBSDetroit) - Deputies in Oakland County want to find the person who tried to ram their way onto property owned by singer Kid Rock.
Oakland County Sheriff's Office Detectives are looking for a suspect seen on July 31 around 3:30 pm who was captured on security cameras attempting to break into private property in northern Oakland County owned by the entertainer.
The suspect is seen ramming the gate with his van and then attempted to break into a building on the property.
Sheriff Mike Bouchard said the combination of this vehicle and the person on crutches driving it should make it fairly obvious to someone who knows this individual.
"He looks to be a white male, maybe in his 50's or so, he's on crutches, looks like he's got a U-of-M hat on and it looks as he's pulling up, he may have been smoking. So, all of that combined is clearly going to set off the bell in somebody's head," Bouchard said.
Kid Rock is kicking in a $5,000 reward for information leading to the arrest of the perpetrator.
"Thank God I was not on the property at the time of this attempted break in. I am an avid hunter and marksman and I will not hesitate to shoot anyone who has myself or family in fear for our lives," Kid Rock said in a statement posted on his website.
"I take the invasion of my personal space very seriously regardless of who you are and YES, I do profile people. I am currently profiling any balding white male on crutches driving a white creeper van," he added.
Anyone with information about the suspect is asked to call Sheriff's Dispatch at (248) 858-4911.
