Ohio Woman Says She Saw Missing Brothers

A Sandusky, Ohio woman believes she saw the three boys missing from Morenci, Michigan -- three days after Thanksgiving.

There's mounting frustration in Morenci, as investigators have come up empty-handed in the search for Andrew, Alexander and Tanner Skelton.

Sandy Jones told television station WTVG in Toledo that the Skelton boys entered her House of Donuts shop with a dark-haired woman.  Once she realized what she'd seen, Jones sought the advice of her boss, a retired police officer.

"I thought I was going crazy, so I waited and talked to him, and he was like, 'You know what? They do look like them,' ...And we didn't know what to do, because we didn't know the car or license plates -- and we didn't know if it could be any help or not," she said.

Jones said the boys reluctantly entered the shop where the woman called one of the boys "Tanner."

"The two older ones were really... they acted like they didn't want to come through that door when they first came in, and they kind of huddled together. And the younger one kinda looked up and was looking around, like he didn't know what he wanted," Jones said.

Jones said the woman was about 5'5'' or 5'6'' with dark, "scraggly" hair that looked like it had just been dyed.  She appeared to be in her 40s and looked worn out.

Volunteer searches were called off after last Friday to give authorities a chance to take a second look at the overall picture.

Meantime, prosecutors say Governor Jennifer Granholm has received paperwork necessary to extradite 39-year-old John Skelton charged with parental kidnapping in connection with his three missing sons.

Lenawee County Prosecuting Attorney Jonathan Poer tells The Daily Telegram of Adrian that Granholm's office confirmed receipt Monday of paperwork required to make a formal extradition request for Skelton . Poer said Ohio officials should receive the paperwork this week.

Skelton remains held in a Toledo jail on a $3 million bond after he declined last Wednesday to waive extradition. He faces a Dec. 14th hearing.
