What Does Cowboys Head Coach Jason Garrett Now Think Of That Controversial Playoff Call? [VIDEO]

It's apparent; Detroit is still reeling from the thought they were robbed in their playoff game against the Cowboys. From the people that think the game was completely fixed to the ones who believe the call didn't factor into the game at all, the one constant seems to be that everybody is still talking about, including Dallas coach Jason Garrett.
Garrett gave his take on the call at the NFL Combine on Wednesday afternoon saying the controversial aftermath was caused by "a mechanical issue" that the officials had.
To be honest, Garrett got very technical and used a lot of words to get his opinion across so I'll shorten it up a bit. Garrett believes that calls get called and changed all the time in the NFL and if the officials did not make the mistake of moving the ball before discussing the call there would have been no outrage.
"I think more than anything else it was just the mechanics of moving the ball, that's the thing that none of us have seen before. We've seen conversations where flags are picked up all the time, I just think the timing of the whole thing and the mechanics were a little bit off" Garrett said.
I have been a firm believer that while the Lions probably got robbed out of that one call, it was not the reason that they lost the game. It's not worthwhile to go back to the inadequacies that Detroit suffered offensively after the 1st quarter but that seemed to be more of a reason why they lost than one call. As for Garrett's explanation...he's right. If the ball was never picked up, moved and then moved back again, people would have not been upset, at least not to the extent that they continue to be.
Obviously Garrett never said if he thought the officials were correct to reverse the call but I think we all know how he feels. Just like we know how he feels about a certain Dez Bryant catch that may or may not have happened the next week in Green Bay.
But what do you think? Does Garrett have a point? Does his explanation lessen your outrage even the slightest? Yeah, I didn't think so.
