Weekend Roadwork Alert
Know before you go -- road construction season isn't over yet. In Oakland County, the two-lane connector ramp from eastbound I-96 to eastbound I-696 will be closed for bridge work (on the bridge that carries northbound M-5 to westbound I-96 which goes over this connector ramp) beginning at 7 p.m. Saturday and ending by 5 a.m Sunday.
Also in Oakland County, expect to find multiple lane closures causing backups on southbound I-75 from Josyln to Square Lake roads beginning at 10 p.m. on Friday and ending by 10 a.m. on Saturday. Also, multiple lane closures on northbound from Square Lake to Joslyn roads beginning at 10 p.m. on Saturday and ending by 10 a.m. on Sunday.
I-94 Roadwork: In Macomb County, westbound I-94, from 11 Mile to 8 Mile roads, will have only the right lane open beginning at 9 p.m. on Friday and ending by 9 p.m. on Saturday.
Eastbound I-94, from 8 Mile to 11 Mile roads, will have only the right lane open beginning at 3 p.m. on Saturday and ending by 9 p.m. on Sunday. The ramp from eastbound I-94 to westbound I-696 will be closed during the same time frame.

More weekend roadwork:
I-375: In Detroit, northbound and southbound I-375 will have intermittent single and double lane closures for pavement work beginning at 7 a.m. and ending by 4 p.m. on Saturday.
I-96: In Oakland County, ongoing bridge work will require a single lane closure on eastbound I-96 from Beck to Novi roads. The single lane closure will begin at 10 a.m. on Friday and end by 5 a.m. on Monday. Yes the 10 a.m. start time is correct.
In Detroit, eastbound and westbound I-96 will have two lanes closed between Davison and Livernois avenues for ongoing bridge work. The two-lane closures will be limited to overnight hours:
11 p.m. Friday until 7 a.m. on Saturday
8 p.m. on Saturday until 7 a.m. on Sunday
8 p.m. on Sunday until 5 a.m. on Monday.
In Detroit, sign replacements will require a two lane closure on eastbound I-96 at I-75 from 4 a.m. til 9 a.m. Saturday.
US-24 (Telegraph Road): In Oakland County, beginning at 7 p.m. on Friday and ending by 5 a.m. on Monday, southbound Telegraph will be reduced to a single lane from Orchard Lake to Square Lake roads.
In Oakland County, northbound and southbound Telegraph will be reduced to a single lane at Long Lake Road for paving operations beginning at Midnight and ending by 5 a.m. on Friday.
In Oakland County, beginning at 5 p.m. on Saturday and ending by 8 a.m. on Sunday, southbound Telegraph will be reduced to a single lane from Lone Pine to Quarton for paving.
