Website Ranks Best Michigan Towns For Young Families
TROY (WWJ) - We know Michigan is full of great cities to call home, but not all are created equally. So, where are the best places for young families to live?
Nerdwallet.com, an online financial resource, recently released its list of the Top Ten Best Towns in Michigan for Young Families.
The list was compiled by asking three questions: 1) Does the town have good public schools? 2) Can you afford to live there? 3) Is the town growing and prospering?
The analysis used measurements from the nonprofit GreatSchools to compare education. For homeowner affordability, it looked at homeowner costs including mortgage payments, real estate taxes, insurance costs, utilities, fuel and other bills, with lower costs equaling a higher score. The analysis' measurement of prosperity included median household income and income growth over the last decade.
