Weather Is Heating Up But Folks Are Thinking Fall Football Season

DETROIT (WWJ) - Summer is just around the corner but folks are already thinking about the fall football season.

As Michigan State University's top sports leaders gathered during a luncheon at the Detroit Economic Club the attending crowd was told only about 200 season tickets remain for the football season which is nearly sold out.

MSU Athletic Director Mark Hollis tells WWJ's Stephanie Davis that the great thing about season tickets is that you have sold tickets for all games.

"That's of great value to us, the road kill issues of having a sold out stadium on season tickets is the expectation that you can pick up a single ticket at any point ... and that kind of goes away," said Hollis.

Hollis says that all the school will likely have left is 5000 tickets alloted for the visiting team.

Hollis along with head coaches Mark Dantonio and Tom Izzo spoke at the DEC luncheon.
