Thousands Without Power After High Wind Gusts
DETROIT (WWJ) - DTE Energy crews Sunday were working to restore power to thousands of homes and businesses after high winds knocked down power lines.
DTE Energy spokesman John Austerberry told WWJ that they are working to restore power to approximately 11,000 customers Sunday evening. Fifty-two thousand customers were without power at one point over the weekend.
A DTE outage map showed some restoration efforts would continue until Tuesday.
The outages were scattered, however the largest outage Saturday was near 12 Mile and Ryan in Warren.
The National Weather Service reported the highest wind gust of 52 miles per hour near Ypsilanti. Several other areas had wind gusts in the mid-40's.

Monday- Breezy with partial sunshine. High 62.
Tuesday- Mostly cloudy and cooler with some rain. High 56.
