Waterford Bank Robber Caught On Camera
WATERFORD (WWJ) - Waterford police are hoping the public can help them identify a man who was caught on camera robbing a bank.
Police said the suspect entered the PNC Bank branch — on the 900 block of W. Huron — at 2:30 p.m. on Nov. 7, and passed a note to the teller demanding cash in random denominations.
The teller handed over an undisclosed amount of money, and the robber fled.
Police believe a hidden dye pack that was included with the stolen cash was discharged shortly after the suspect left the bank.
The suspect is described as a white male, in his late 40s to early 50s, 5 feet 10 inches to 6 feet tall, with a thin build. He was wearing glasses.
An investigation continues.
Anyone with information about the robbery or who recognizes the suspect in the video is urged to call the Waterford Police Detective Michael Morgan at 248-618-6664.
