Was Man's Death Related To Utility Shut-Off?
FLINT (WWJ/AP) - Authorities say the body of an 86-year-old Flint man was found in his truck three days after a utility turned off electrical service to his home.
The Flint Journal reports that neighbors found John Morgan outside his home on Parkway Avenue on Monday.
Police are awaiting autopsy results to determine a cause of death, and said it wasn't immediately known whether the electricity cutoff played a role.
Consumers Energy spokeswoman Debra Dodd said electricity was turned off Friday, but the home still had active natural gas service. She said company representatives that went to the home before electricity was turned off weren't able to contact anyone there.
Dodd said the subsidiary of Jackson-based CMS Energy Corp. plans to cooperate with police in the investigation.
