Warren Police: 2 Brazen Robberies, Minutes Apart
WARREN (WWJ) - Warren Police are investigating two unrelated armed robberies that took place Monday morning, just minutes apart.
Warren Police Commissioner Jere Green said a man robbed O'Reilly Auto Parts on Eight Mile Road, just east of Schoenherr.
"He was dressed in a suit and tie, wearing a Halloween-type mask. He produced a hand gun and demanded cash from the owner," Green told WWJ Newsradio 950's Laura Bonnell. "As he was leaving he took a computer as well."
That suspect is still on the loose.
At about the same time, six miles away, Green said a brazen robber held a gun to the head of an employee at the Rub Barbecue on 12 Mile Road and demanded money.
Police said there is chilling video from restaurant security cameras.
Police recovered the gun, the money and arrested the suspected. He's expected to be arraigned on Tuesday.
