Vigilant Mom Reports Online Predator To Police
HOLLY (WWJ) - The FBI is now one of many agencies investigating a 45-year-old Holly man accused of being a multi-state Internet predator.
Holly Police Chief Michael Story said they busted the suspect following the latest incident a few days ago in Idaho -- thanks to a vigilant mom who reported the crime.
"The mother walked in on something and just didn't let it get explained away," Story said told WWJ Newsradio 950's Kathryn Larson.
Officers served a search warrant on the suspect's Village of Holly home on Valentine's Day. They found him sitting in a car in the driveway, searched his home, and took him into custody without incident.
Story said it appears there are several additional victims across the U.S.
"The FBI -- they're moving very quickly," Story said. "We made seizures with the search warrant. They still have to be gone through, but, as of right now, we have a cooperative suspect who's been very forthcoming."
Police took several electronic devices from the home.
The suspect was expected to be arraigned Saturday in federal court. His name will be released at that time.
